A Call to Warriorship

There have been many people called to Warriorship throughout the ages.

Some have stood for bravery while others have used anger as a passionate motivator toward a cause.  Some use sickness and suffering as their challenge into greatness while others have sat and watched vicariously hoping and dreaming of a better world where even they can rise above their preconceived limitations.

It is an honor and a privilege to be part of a movement to redefine the path of the “Warrior” whose meaning has been lost in content and in purpose.  My name is Karen, Author of “The Warrior Salutations” I have been inspired to revive and teach the true meaning of the Warrior as an ancient path that faces inner challenges, sharpens intuition and tests the limitations of the mind. More than ever our future demands that we get in touch with our inner strength and learn to integrate our emotions. To do this we must meet our inner Warrior and know the ground we are on.

First let me start by saying what a Warrior is not.  A Warrior is not a mercenary or a soldier who simply follows orders.  A Warrior does not terrorize another human being and is not a terrorist. A true Warrior does not set out to divide and conquer and does not commit rape or murder either alone or with a gang. Rather a true Warrior is an honorable, powerful Master of the “Self,” focused on building a world around them through the alchemy of transformation.

The Warrior’s job is to believe in a cause, lift the veils of deceit, and watch as reality unfolds in a manner that fulfills a sacred contract between them and the spiritual world.  Sometimes a Warrior is called to detach from an outcome while other times is meant to engage it and take a proactive role.

A Warrior needs to have a firm understanding of the element of fire, and how it relates to heat, friction and light.  Fire is considered Sacred as it imparts consciousness, vision, activity, and transformation as well as passion and aggression.  It fuels our war like urges and gives us the energy to carry through.  The true Warrior takes responsibility for the management of this sacred element in them and knows how they affect the world.

Ultimately, each person called to Warriorship has to go through their own initiation and gather their own direct experiences and gain their own true Mastery.  They have to challenge their own mind, and rise to their own greatness, choose their own battles and find their own victory.  That is what true Warriorship is all about.  Each person will get the call to face their inner Warrior at some time in life, question is, will the call be heard and will it be handled with grace and wisdom?
